He may look grown up but, inside, he’s still a kitten
Once your kitten has reached the size of an adult cat, his growth rate will naturally decrease and so will the amount of energy he needs. He hasn’t stopped developing on the inside, however, and it’s only at the age of ten to twelve months, when his body is fully grown, that he should be transferred to adult food such as Whiskas® Adult Pouches.
Transfer him too soon and he won’t be getting the energy content that he needs in his food, and that could lead to weight problems. To make the change as smooth as possible, start with a mixture of kitten and adult cat food, before moving on to serve adult food on its own.
