Stopping Your Cat Biting

jeux-chat-quand-votre-chat-apprend-en-samusant-whiskas.jpg

Just like their big cat cousins, your little kitten is a natural hunter. In fact, their instinct to hunt is so powerful that they'll do it even when they aren't hungry.

That’s because, in the wild, big cats never know when their next meal is coming from. Like them, your kitten is always on standby, ready and waiting for prey to come along.

Biting

While your kitten is young, all those little nips are really just playfulness. As they grow up, if your kitten’s coming on a bit strong, try interrupting their game and ignoring them for a while. If they don’t get the message, speak to them with a firm, loud voice – but don't shout. They'll soon catch on, and the biting will stop.
